Webinar: Floodplain Management Collaboration: Insights from Monmouth County, NJ

Joe Barris, Director of Planning, Transportation, and Community Services in Monmouth County, NJ, joined Forerunner co-founder Susanna Pho for an inspiring conversation about best practices in municipality-county collaboration for the CRS program and for floodplain management overall. Joe shared his experiences coordinating resources and support for municipalities through the Monmouth County CRS Municipal Assistance Program, which was founded in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. The program provides municipalities with hazard mitigation expertise, community planning, public outreach, and GIS mapping, leveraging efficiencies of scale to assist participating communities.
