Orange, TX unveils flood gauges to aid residents' early storm preparation

The City of Orange, TX is helping residents prepare earlier for flooding by installing 20 new flood gauges in high-risk areas across the community. The gauges provide real-time water level information, giving residents greater visibility into rising conditions before storms hit.

Flood gauge locations are shared publicly through Forerunner, making it easier for residents to track conditions, understand local risk, and take action ahead of severe weather. Residents can also submit reports of rising water levels directly to municipal leaders via Forerunner, enhancing self-service tools for the community.
