Your own saved views come first

The saved views menu opens with a My views section listing the views you created, ahead of your account’s internal and public views. The view you have open is marked as selected.See Creating views.

Rename a workflow step

Rename any step of a workflow from its menu, so step names match the language your jurisdiction uses rather than what they were called at setup. The new name shows wherever the workflow is displayed, including your public website.See Completing steps.

Hide or show properties on your public website in bulk

Select properties in the table and hide them from your public website, or show them again, in one action. A confirmation explains what the change carries to.
  • Hiding a property also hides its attached records and files
  • Showing a property again does not restore records and files hidden with it
  • Available when your public website allows manually hiding or showing properties, a setting under Public website in Settings

Ask Forerunner across your account data

The Global AI Assistant is now available on web. An Ask Forerunner button in the top right opens one place to ask questions across everything you have in Forerunner.
  • Answers from your account data, and from documents you have uploaded to AI Knowledge, quoting the passages it relied on
  • Knows which page you are on, so a question can refer to what you are looking at
  • Returns links you can follow to records, tasks, workflows, and saved views
  • Runs under your own login, so it sees only what you can see
  • Past conversations are listed under View conversations, and you can pick any of them back up

Ground AI Fields in your own documents

An AI Field can now draw on specific documents in AI Knowledge when it generates, instead of carrying the source material in its prompt.
  • Associate knowledge base documents with a record type
  • The Knowledge Base settings page shows the ingest status of each document

Keep AI Fields current as a record changes

An AI Field can now be told which fields it depends on, so it regenerates when its source changes rather than going quietly out of date.
  • Choose the fields an AI Field depends on
  • A record with outdated AI Fields shows a banner offering to refresh them
  • Regenerate one field, or all of them from the Actions menu
  • Submitting a record whose AI Fields were never generated raises a confirmation with a Generate all option

Generate documents for a batch of records

Select several records in a table and generate a document for all of them at once, extending the bulk generation already available on properties.
  • Filter the table to the record type your template applies to, select the records, and generate

Set a field’s default from a formula

A field’s default value can now be a formula, rather than a fixed value or a single source field.
  • Shown in the Record Builder as a Dynamic value
  • Formulas resolve in dependency order, and a circular reference is rejected when you save

Move a workflow step from an automation

An automation can now update a workflow step’s status, scoping the change to a single step or to every duplicate of that step type.See Building automations.

Anchor a task due date to a date on the record

A task created by an automation can take its due date from a date on the record, instead of counting from the moment the automation ran.
  • The created date, the updated date, or any date field on the form
  • Offset by a number of days, so a due date can fall five days after a field is set

Configure your public Elevation Certificates table

The Elevation Certificates table on your public website is now a standard saved view, so you control how it appears.
  • Rename it, recategorize it, change its columns, or remove it
  • Accounts that had the built-in page keep the columns, intro text, and disclaimer they had before
  • Existing links redirect to the new view

Color a custom object by its records

When a record saved view is shown on the map, the object a record belongs to can take that record’s color, so the outline reflects status, condition, or priority.
  • The color comes from a select field on the record that has colors assigned to its options
  • Applies while the object is shown as part of a record saved view. Elsewhere on the map, objects keep their usual layer styling

Re-import a data source layer

An object type imported from a data source can be re-imported from that same source, picking up changes without rebuilding the layer.
  • Fields you added by hand are preserved across a re-import
  • Deleting a custom map is blocked while an import is running

A faster mobile app

Mobile 7.23 and 7.24 are both on the App Store and Google Play, and performance was the focus of each.
  • Opening the app reaches a usable map substantially faster, with the largest gains on accounts carrying many saved views and map layers
  • Dragging and zooming stay smooth on accounts with a lot of data on the map
  • Switching into offline mode and back is markedly faster, and the map holds its position through the change
  • Offline sync starts about 30 seconds after you reconnect, down from two and a half minutes
  • Dates and times follow your own time zone rather than UTC
  • The app is smaller to install

Export a record of your team’s AI activity

You can now pull everything your team has done with AI in Forerunner as a CSV, from Settings → Data → Forerunner AI. Only manager-level users can run the export.
  • One row per message, with conversation, timestamp, feature, user, and related record
  • Every AI surface: chat on web and mobile, Live Mode, document generation, form fields, Elevation Certificate extraction, automation prompts, and share messages
  • Attachments come through as download links
  • Sensitive content is redacted unless the exporter has PII permission

Run automations on a recurring schedule

You can now schedule an automation to run on its own cadence, so recurring work like a biweekly stormwater inspection runs without anyone starting it.
  • Daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or a custom interval
  • A start date, a time zone that defaults to yours, and an optional end date
  • Property warnings available in condition and variable pickers, so an automation can branch on where a property sits in its lifecycle

Carry a value across every step of a workflow

Information entered once at the start of a workflow now carries into every later step that needs it, instead of being re-keyed on each one.
  • Set a field’s default to a field on a record type earlier in the same workflow, alongside property, parcel, FIRM, and user defaults
  • Lock a prefilled field so it changes only at its source step, or leave it overridable so staff can correct it downstream
  • Get a prompt when a change would break a configured default, with options to resolve before saving
  • Values are set when the downstream record is created and do not change afterward
  • Newly-granted collaborators are emailed when you duplicate a workflow step

Set a dynamic default on a date field

Date fields can now default to a value pulled from elsewhere, instead of only defaulting to today.
  • Today’s date
  • A FIRM effective date
  • A date attribute on the parcel
  • The property’s external system ID

Turn off public Elevation Certificate submissions

You can now stop accepting Elevation Certificate submissions from your public website yourself, and the confirmation names the record types it affects.See Accepting submissions.

Edit custom objects on the map

You can now edit custom objects you created manually, right from the map, on web and mobile.
  • Update an object’s label
  • Reshape an object’s geometry by dragging or removing points
  • Edit from the object information panel; the map zooms to fit the object in edit mode
Editing applies to custom objects created manually. Objects brought in through a GIS import are still updated by re-importing the source data. See Editing a custom object.
